Escargot Bleu, our Euroclassic 13.9m barge, remains
in Capestang in the care of France Afloat. She has 3 cabins, all with showers and electric toilets, as well as air conditioning, two fridges and
a host of other extras. We have had 4 weeks on her last year with guests including my cousin Paul and 3 friends from Bangor,
NI. This year we are going downstream to Sete in late May/June, then to Toulouse in late September. The Canal du Midi is a
great experience with some elevated aquaducts and novelties such as a 3-way lock, tunnels and a flight of 7 locks. It is a
bit like driving a 3-bed flat up the High Street, though!
We have two ensuite twin cabins available for 1,2,3 or
4 weeks for friends for a modest contribution to boat travel costs. So book soon!
